Time stands still every day in beautiful Key West.  On Mallory Dock thousands of locals and tourists meet each day for the Sunset Celebration to watch the sun sink slowly into the Gulf of Mexico.  Before and after the sunset Key West is place of excitement, action and fun but for these brief minutes each day time just stands still.

Each year there are many events and festivals in Key West.   For over 30 years each July this small town is over run with little and big white haired white bearded men.  This is the Hemingway Days, where Ernest Hemingway, one of Key West’s most famous residents is remembered with look a-like contests, a mock running of the bulls and even a $50K Marlin fishing tournament, the Drambuie Key West Marlin Tournament take place.  In late November the town is taken over by Pirates during the Pirates in Paradise where fans of anything Pirate come to celebrate and experience Key West’s seafaring history.  There are many other fests throughout the year but none of them can compare with Fantasy Fest, a 10-day non-stop party that has grown to rival Mardi Gras.  Parades, costume balls, fundraisers and over 100,000 people make this  the ultimate fest.

No matter what you have come to Key West to do you can always find the perfect place to stay with hundreds of top Key West hotels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, and island vacation rentals.  Getting around is easy too.  Most of the islands activities, shopping, restaurants and bars are within walking distance but there is also great public transportation as well as pedi-cabs and taxis that can take you anywhere in the city.
